Privacy Policy
1. General Overview
This privacy policy is compiled to assist users of the Quit Alcohol: Sober Tracker mobile application ("the App") on the Android platform. It discloses how the App processes personal data, handles device privacy, and specifies terms in compliance with Google Play Developer policies.
As the developer of the App, we believe that tracking a highly personal, courageous path like alcohol sobriety must preserve absolute, non-negotiable security. Therefore, we emphasize a local-first data paradigm where all your individual journal notes, logs, and habit records remain strictly on your physical machine.
2. Information Collection and Processing
Our platform is engineered to minimize external data collection. Unlike classic cloud apps that stream sensitive habit logs to central data aggregators, AURA handles items locally in sandbox storage:
- Sober Timeline Indicators: The exact date and hour you set to record your clean slate is processed exclusively on-device to build your real-time counting dial.
- Sober Reflections & Diaries: Your cognitive journal notes and daily sobriety reflections are saved locally in the device's secure storage, SQLite database, or Android application preferences. We do not run any default server syncing for these notes. They never leave your custody.
- Craving Waves Logs: Your triggers (e.g. stress, routine, social habit), intensity measurements, and timestamps logged through the SOS guided breathing console are compiled strictly for your local visual dashboard and are not cached on our backends.
3. Google AdMob & Identifier Processing
In order to sustain free accessibility of AURA for recovering users across the globe, our Android application integrates Google AdMob to display mobile advertisements.
Google AdMob may request, collect, and leverage certain electronic identifiers to deliver relevant, personalized, or non-personalized advertisements, run analytics, and prevent platform fraud:
- Advertising Device IDs: Google Play Services Advertising ID (AAID) is used to track engagement patterns and maintain ad capping rates.
- System and Hardware Specs: Information regarding network states, device models, language preferences, screen dimensions, time zones, and mobile carrier indicators.
- Coarse Location: IP network addresses are used to target regionally compliant advertisements and protect advertiser safety.
Ad Choice Control: Users can reset or opt out of personalized advertisements within their Android Device System Settings (Navigate to: Settings > Privacy > Ads, and select "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or "Reset Advertising ID").
4. Integral Third-Party SDK Integrations
Our application links to integral third-party service providers. Every partner maintains its own privacy governance. We strongly encourage review of their terms to understand their data processing:
- Google Play Services: Used to manage core app deliveries, licensing enforcement, and store transactions. Read Google Developer Policy.
- Google AdMob (Ad Services): Used to handle digital advertising deliveries. Read Google Advertising Policies.
5. Information Disclosing and Sharing
Because we do not transmit your sensitive lifestyle data, reflections, or habit notes to external servers, we cannot and do not sell, rent, or trade your personal sobriety journals with any third-party corporate buyers.
We will only disclose data under the following extreme, statutory parameters:
- As forced by law, regulations, or active judicial court subpoenas.
- When necessary to protect our developer safety, verify software integrity, or defend our legal positions.
6. Data Retention
```We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide the functionality of the App.
- Locally Stored Sobriety Data: Sober dates, journal entries, craving logs, progress statistics, and app preferences are stored exclusively on your device. This information remains available until you delete it, clear the application's data, or uninstall the App.
- Support Communications: If you contact us by email, we may retain correspondence for up to 24 months after the most recent communication, unless a longer retention period is required by law. After that period, support records are deleted.
- Advertising Data: Google AdMob may collect and process advertising identifiers and related device information according to Google's own retention policies. We do not control the retention period of data processed by Google services.
Users may delete locally stored data at any time through the application settings, by clearing app data from Android system settings, or by uninstalling the App.
7. User Control & Data Deletion Rights
Google Play Console requires complete transparency over user rights and digital erasure options. Because your data is local:
- Local Purge: You can wipe all local logs, journal entry history, and configuration files permanently at any moment by navigating into your device Settings > Apps > AURA > Storage, and clicking "Clear App Data".
- In-App Reset: You can modify your initial target goals or clear inputs in the Settings Panel within the User Interface directly.
- System Removal: Deleting the App removes the local sandboxed databases instantly.
If you have contacted our support team via email (e.g., to report bugs, provide feedback, or seek developer assistance) and would like to request the deletion of your email records and support threads, please send an explicit inquiry to belmospace@gmail.com. We will permanently delete all associated metadata within 72 hours.
8. Guarding Minor's Security
The App is tailored for individuals seeking support in managing alcohol recovery. We strictly comply with Child Privacy guidelines (including COPPA and GDPR Article 8 regulations):
The App is designed for adults of legal drinking age in their respective national jurisdictions. We do not deliberately solicit, process, or keep database profiles for children under 13. If any parent discovers that their child has accessed our local tracking app and provided custom inputs, they may contact us immediately to guide them through clearing local data.
9. Policy Amendments & Contact Info
We may periodically revise this Privacy Policy to ensure perfect harmony with evolving Google Play Console mandates and global data directives.
If you have queries regarding our sandboxed local-first architecture, AdMob services, or would like to issue support reviews, feel free to contact us at on-record support:
